Notes |
- Joan Sue Bogle, 75 of Hot Springs died Wednesday November 23, 2011 in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1936 in Moberly, MO. to Joseph & Darlene Martin Hulett.
She worked as an educator and later became a small business woman running her own sheet metal and air conditioning company. She volunteered as church secretary for the Methodist Church in San Dimas, CA. where she also helped with the youth ministry. She was on the board for the local Youth Organization in Orcutt, CA. (YOYO) and served in the local chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). In the 1970's and 80's she raised and bred Arabian show horses. She also had a lifetime passion for genealogy and had traced many of her family lines back to the Middle Ages.
Survivors include her husband Emmett Edwin "Gus" Bogle of Hot Springs; sons Martin & wife Debra Bogle of Hot Springs, Edwin & wife Kris Bogle of Lathrop, CA and Brian & wife Charlotte Bogle of Macon, GA.; 5 grandchildren, Ronald & wife Kimbralee Bogle, Joseph & wife Brittany Bogle, Amy Bogle, Abby Bogle and Evan Bogle; and 3 great grandchildren, Ayden Bogle, Kaden Bogle and Rylan Bogle.
Joan was loved by everyone she met. She enjoyed talking with people and loved to tell her stories. Her family loved her very much and looked to her for guidance and help in everything. She might have been tiny in stature but as the saying goes, "dynamite comes in small packages" and she was a little fire cracker.
Cremation is under the direction of Gross Funeral Home.
There will be no services at this time.
